Day 1: THE TEAM

 

This here's our whole team, though we'll never all 10 be in CR at the same time!

6-Week Team (May 16 - June 29):

Sam - That's me. 

Matthew - Since his first trip in 2020 (what a wacky and wild trip), Matthew has come every year and has eagerly learned so much about the culture and language of Costa Rica. I ask him what's going on a lot. He has thrown himself into learning Spanish and now seems pretty darn fluent to me.

Sheryl - Sheryl lived in México for a couple of years and feels more at home in Latin America than Texas, I think. Our most-fluent team member, she's raising support to do some cool latino mobilization stuff, she'd love to tell you more about it. 

Izzy - I think our 2021 trip was Izzy's first time out of the U.S., but she's really gone for it since then. She came on her own personal mini-trip in January to serve at a camp and will be staying a week longer to serve there again. She spent this past year learning Spanish.

9-Day Team (May 16 - May 25):

Alexis - Alexis has basically served the Lord on mission in every continent (...except that one). She came to Costa Rica in 2021 and is back for more. She's adventurous and hard-working, kind and empathetic. She speaks some Spanish and is really good at understanding. She's also incredibly beautiful ...and very engaged (so back off).

Evan - Evan's name is familiar, too, I'm sure. He's come before and been involved in Fellowship for a hot minute. Evan's got a heart very full of compassion and an eagerness to serve. He's got some Spanish in him, and I'm excited to see him work with kids and students.

Ben - This is Ben's first trip to Costa Rica (at least with us). He's hard-working and easy-going at the same time, which is a great combo. I'm excited to see him in action, and looking forward to the vibe he brings to our team.

Mallory - This is also Mallory's first trip! I don't know Mallory very well, but I am excited for her to come serve with us this year and bless the kids at the CDI and the students at H@ngout. She's brought a great attitude to all our trainings and will be a definite blessing to our team.

Special Weekend Team (June 16-19)

James - James served in Costa Rica before it was cool. He has been consistently involved in serving our GCLA partner churches in as many ways as possible. He's going to come in for a weekend to bless the men of the church with a marriage seminar and serve in whatever handy ways the church needs!
