Day 1a: Never done it like this before

Ok, new territory here folks.

I am posting a post using a smartphone. I'll be using a smartphone with a Costa Rican SIM card all summer (read: please, please don't text my normal phone. I won't get it for 10 weeks).

Our team (minus Izzy, who met us in Austin) met up at the choffice at 11 to load up and roll out. We had SO MANY people come pray us off. There were many hugs (I hugged Alexis about 10 times (1 for each week maybe? (it's so many weeks))) and almost-leaves, but then we finally got on the road.

We got to the airport smoothly (thanks @James and @Evan) and, after some confusion about return flights, got our tickets.

We had some minor snags in security, trying to sneak in Kindles and Water didn't work (good on you, TSA lady). Now we are fed and chillin. Izzy and I ate pizza, Katie, Matthew, Tesla, Cassidy are eating burgers with a rando guy they befriended, which is awesome.

I'll post again tonight, but step 1 is complete.
