I am in México!

You might be thinking, "weird flex, but ok." Well, you're probably only thinking that if you're under the age of 25. Which, I'm not, so You might be thinking, "that's an odd thing to brag about on a Costa Rica blog, but ok..." Monterrey - and specifically the regios that I know and love here - has/have been such a huge part of my spiritual growth and development in my understanding of culture and Spanish and myself and my relationship with God. Getting to be back here is intoxicating. Especially bringing my own car and having the freedom to roam about at will. Every person I've gotten to see, I have wanted to sit and talk with them for hours. I have real, solid, loving friendships here...but they are friendships that are difficult to invest in to the depth I want, because of just general life separation.  And yet, I don't feel more than a passing sadness when I think about it, because I know that I get to spend eternity with th...

Training Summary

Hi! So this will effectively be a chance for y'all to observe me processing information. At this juncture, I have several pages of hand-written notes from two books, a couple of interviews, some online resources, and a lot of just sitting and thinking. I need that to become a useful training for our team, so I'm going to work through it here. Apologies in advance. Hm...some of the information I've garnered is related to Costa Rican ( Tico ) culture, some is important paradigms to approach the trip with, some is logistics for our trip, and some is strategies to make sure our team is processing the trip well. I guess we should move from general to specific, so maybe the training can look like this: 1. Paradigms 2. Culture 3. Team Care 4.
